Dates to remember: November 11th – Remembrance Day Liturgy – 10:40
I hope everyone is surviving the time change. The weather is certainly getting much colder. Please be sure to send your child to school with warm mitts, hats, and extra socks for wet days. The children are outside 3 times a day and the lunch recess is 40 minutes long. Many children are complaining of being hungry throughout the day. Please be sure to send snacks that are filling such as, yoghurt, cheese and crackers, hard-boiled eggs, bagels and cream cheese. As well, be sure to send your child to school with a water bottle. It is important for learning that a child is well-fed and hydrated!

- This week we will be making connections as we read “Lily’s Purple Plastic Purse” by Kevin Henkes. Lilly loves everything about school, especially her cool teacher, Mr. Slinger. But when Lilly brings her purple plastic purse and its treasures to school and can't wait until sharing time, Mr. Slinger confiscates her prized possessions. Lilly's fury leads to revenge and then to remorse and she sets out to make amends. This story will provide lots of opportunities for the children to connect and share.
- We will continue to work on using beginning sounds and what makes sense to help decode
- Word Wall Words – day, like, on, went will
