This is the third week of Advent. Mrs. Milne's class will be joining us for an advent celebration in the classroom on Monday. The theme for the third week of Advent is Joy. The children will be learning through songs, prayer, and stories how to bring Joy into the lives of others during this Christmas season.
There will be no homework or word wall words this week. We will be using this week to finish up our work on patterning and 2D shapes. We will continue to work on writing using Christmas words, play games with the words wall words, and, of course, the children will practice reading everyday.
On Wednesday, December 16th we will be having our Christmas Concert. The show will begin shortly after 1:30. I hope you can join us. If possible, please stop by the classroom after the show to pick up your child's artwork. That way it will arrive home safely and in one piece.
Thursday, December 17th the whole school will be playing Christmas bingo. This is always lots of fun and also a great way to practice recognizing numbers.
Friday, December 18th is pajama day! I love pajama day. The children are encouraged to bring in a board or card game to play with their friends. No electronics please.
I wish you all a safe, healthy, happy and holy holiday.
Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year!
