Happy Birthday Alexa – April 7, 2017
Happy Birthday Freya – April 9, 207
Tooth Fairy – Brandon
Reminder: Wednesday, April 5, 2017 – pizza day
Friday , April 7, 2017 – Lenten alms for Ryan’s Well,
Please remember to send in extra socks and mitts. It is very messy out there these days!
It is so nice to see the sunshine and hear the birds singing. It certainly feels a little more like spring might finally be here! This week we will finish up Theme Three of Fully Alive called “Created Sexual: Male and Female.” The children have been very engaged and respectful during discussions. They have enjoyed sharing stories of when they were little and many have brought in baby pictures to share.
We are continuing to raise money for Ryan’s Well. This week I am encouraging the children to give up one treat and donate that money to the well. We will continue with the fundraiser until Holy Thursday.
During the month of April we will be reading and writing fairy tales. We will also be writing a variety of different types of poems. From now until the end of the year, we will be reviewing all of the word wall words. The goal is for the children to be able to read and spell all the words. In Math, we are always practicing addition and subtraction skills. As well, we will be learning to measure objects using non-standard units.
